In the lawsuit, which is seeking unspecified damages, the plaintiffs state that doctors and administrators didn't adequately inform them that they faced potential legal liability from the drug. "The defendants' failure to disclose the students potential for a possible lawsuit was conscious decision to protect themselves from civil liabilities they would not have to endure under other circumstances," the suit claims. "There was no negligence by Defendant UHP in the matter."
According to the lawsuit, drug is a powerful stimulant in the same family as Ritalin, which is used to treat Attention Deficit Disorder.
